Care Mentors Are Not Therapists
They do not fix your problems. They do not tell you what to do and what not to do.
They Listen and Understand
Because they care, they are there for you when you feel overwhelmed, discouraged and alone.
Caregiving is Hard
Being a caregiver can feel lonely and exhausting—even when it’s done out of love. Many caregivers carry heavy responsibilities with little opportunity to share what’s really going on inside.
How the Care Mentoring Relationship Works
It’s Simple and Free
Care Mentoring is a phone-based, confidential relationship. Your initial request will be followed up by a phone visit to help us understand your needs. If we both believe that a care mentoring relationship is a good fit for your needs, we will try to match you with one of our trained care mentors with whom you can set realistic expectations that fit their availability and your time constraints.
To be most effective, care mentors try to prioritize the roles they play in one or more of the following:
- Providing prayer partnership and support
- Meeting your need for emotional support
- Responding to your spiritual challenges and concerns
You are not alone. Our Care Mentors are here to offer presence, prayer, and encouragement.
